Raindrops
Shower Filter
Description
A compact shower filtration system designed to reduce chlorine, heavy metals, sediment, and mineral buildup before water reaches the skin and hair.
Raindrops uses a six stage filtration process combining sediment filtration, granular activated carbon, KDF media, calcium sulfite, ceramic media, and magnetic treatment. The system installs between the shower arm and most standard showerheads without the need for a plumber.
Each system includes one filter housing and one replaceable filtration cartridge.
Uses
For filtering shower water before it reaches the skin and hair.
Especially useful in areas with chlorinated municipal water, aging plumbing, noticeable sediment, or mineral heavy water.
Suitable for natural and color treated hair.
Raindrops filters will eliminate and control these harmful organic and inorganic materials in your shower
- Chlorine - Causes dryness and prevents rehydration.
- Bacterial and Algae - Causes diseases, allergies, and smells
- Iron - Causes dark/orange/red tint, texture change, and dryness
- Copper - Causes buildup, discolors hair, and affect perms
- Magnesium - Causes dryness and weightiness
- Lead - Causes dryness and interferes with color and perms
- Calcium - Causes build up on hair and scalp, blocks follicles and cause hair loss
Why it works?
Shower water can carry chlorine, sediment, dissolved metals, and minerals that accumulate on hair and skin.
Raindrops addresses these through six distinct filtration stages. Sediment filtration captures larger particles and rust. Activated carbon and calcium sulfite target chlorine. KDF media is used to reduce certain heavy metals and inhibit bacterial growth.
The result is cleaner shower water with less exposure to the compounds that can contribute to buildup, dryness, discoloration, and changes in hair texture.
Filtration: Six stage filtration system
Installation: Attaches to most standard showerheads
Plumber Required: No
Filter: Replaceable cartridge
Included: Filter housing + one filtration cartridge
Filtration stages:
- Sediment filtration
- Granular activated carbon
- KDF filtration media
- Magnetic treatment
- Activated ceramic media
- Calcium sulfite
About Raindrops
Raindrops was created by hairstylists Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, co owners of Los Angeles based Nine Zero One Salon.
The system was developed after observing changes in clients’ hair texture and color associated with different water conditions. Raindrops approaches shower water as an integral part of hair and skin care, using a multi stage filtration system to reduce common contaminants and mineral buildup before water reaches the body.
Sustainability Details
Uses a permanent filter housing with replaceable cartridges, allowing the primary fixture to remain in place while only the filtration media is periodically replaced.
Granular activated carbon within the filtration system is derived from coconut shells.
