Lyapse
Description
Nonlinear drift.
Lyapse is a café table shaped by imbalance,
its structure drawn from the restless patterns
of the Hadley attractor where stability
never fully settles. The form grows out of
simulation, a slow rotation and shifting
asymmetry that loops and breaks apart. At
the base the geometry thickens and anchors
itself, almost tectonic. Toward the surface
it stretches and lifts, like a rising current
disturbed by shear. The silhouette is low and
wide, composed yet off axis, balanced but
never fully symmetrical.

About Wedge Design
Wedge is a London based design studio founded by Peiyan Zou, Andy Zhang, and Lei Zhang. The practice works across furniture, installations, and architectural systems through an experimental approach rooted in material ecology, computation, and fabrication. Their pieces are developed through binder jet printing in quartz sand, then hand finished to reveal a raw, stone like surface. The result is a sculptural design language that feels at once geological, digital, and tactile.
