Performance+® Jet Stream® Ultra Blowing Wool
Knauf's flagship blown-in insulation for insulating new construction and existing buildings. It provides consistent thermal performance against outdoor temperatures and helps maintain indoor temperatures — greater thermal resistance means better temperature control. This premium product is BIBS® approved and made with recycled glass.
The manufacturer notes that it installs clean and easy, and requires fewer bags than cellulose material, which can make the job more efficient. It fills gaps and voids in wall cavities, helping to meet required building codes.

Uses+
Attics and ceilings blown to R-11 through R-60
Wall cavities in new construction — 2x4 through 2x10 framing
Floors, mid-floors and metal buildings
Existing buildings where cavities are opened or topped up
Product Features+
Quality design: engineered with a Class A fire rating and non-combustible. It provides good air flow resistance and improved sound control versus uninsulated areas.
Easy install and handling: installs clean and easy. Installers can spend less time installing, as it requires fewer bags compared to cellulose material.
Thermal performance: excellent thermal properties help reduce the operating costs of heating and air conditioning. It fills all gaps and voids in wall cavities, helping to meet required building codes.
Installation Notes+
Attic coverage data were determined using a Volu-Matic® III blowing machine in third gear with a 13 in gate opening, 2.5–3.0 PSI air pressure and 150 ft of 3 in diameter internally-corrugated hose.
To obtain the marked R-value, the insulation must be installed at the bag rates, thicknesses and weights shown in the coverage chart.
Based on a third-party 10-year settling study, predicted settlement over 20 years is 1% or less — thermally insignificant, so installed and settled thicknesses are effectively the same.
