Glavel Foamed Glass Aggregate
Glavel is a closed-cell foamed glass aggregate made from recycled glass. It combines lightweight fill and insulation in one material for subslab assemblies, lightweight fill applications and green roofs.
The manufacturer describes Glavel as non-flammable, non-toxic and resistant to water absorption, rot, mold, mildew and pests. Its compressive performance and low bulk density support applications where conventional fill would add unnecessary weight.
