ComfoAir Q

Zehnder ComfoAir Q ERV and HRV systems provide a continuous exchange of fresh, filtered air while recovering heat from the exhaust air. Their energy-efficient, quiet operation supports a comfortable indoor climate in new construction and renovation projects.

Choose Q 350, Q 450 or Q 600 and an HRV or ERV core to suit the project. When paired with Zehnder’s air-distribution components, the self-balancing system is designed for straightforward installation and operation. An optional LAN-C connection enables smartphone-app control.

Q450 TR Specifications+

The following figures apply specifically to the Q450 TR, not to the full ComfoAir Q range.

Maximum airflow: 265 cfm (450 m³/h) at 0.8 in. WC external pressure. Wall- or floor-mounted; weight 110 lb (50 kg).

Body dimensions: 32 in (809 mm) high × 29 in (725 mm) wide × 22 in (570 mm) deep. Allow for the larger overall dimensions and clearances in the specification sheet.

Supply: 240 V, 60 Hz; see the specification sheet for 208 V operating limitations. Duct connection internal diameter: 6.3 in (160 mm).

Published Passive House heat-recovery efficiency: HRV 88%; ERV 83%. ERV humidity recovery: 71%. These are Q450 certification figures under the stated test conditions, not ratings for every model.

Selection & Installation+

Select airflow capacity, core type and air distribution for the project. Consult the model-specific specifications and installer manual for electrical requirements, condensate management, duct connections and service clearances.

HRV recovers heat; ERV uses an enthalpy exchanger to recover heat and humidity. Preheater availability and operating details depend on the supplied configuration.
